Denmark at the Olympics

Denmark was recorded in 1905 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC ). 1993 merged the Danish NOK with the Danish Sports Association, Danmarks Idræts - Forbund.

As the only Danish member of the IOC Kai Holm was elected from 2002 to 2009 in the Board.

Participations

Denmark was represented equally in the I. Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 with its own team.

Organizer

Denmark has never advertised to host the Olympic Games. By hosting the Olympic Summer Games in Copenhagen dealt an investigation of the company Ramboll that was made in 2006 on behalf of the Danish government.

The successful participants

By 2010 were 396 athletes from Denmark 171 win Olympic medals ( 41 gold, 64 silver, 66 bronze). All, except one, were obtained at Summer Games. The only medal at the Winter Games was a silver in curling ( Nagano 1998). The most successful athletes were:
