Eichstruth
Eichstruth is a municipality in the administrative community uder in the Thuringian district of calibration field. With an area of 1.34 km ² Eichstruth is the smallest municipality area of Thuringia.

History
Eichstruth was first mentioned in documents in 1236. The name refers to one with stock with oak swampy terrain. Eichstruth in 1993 Regional winner of the competition " Our village is beautiful ."

Traffic
The nearest railway stations are uder at the Halle- Kassel Railway, 10 km north of Eichstruth, and Allendorf on the railway line Göttingen- Bebra, about 13 km to the west. To these two places and the county seat Heiligenstadt runs weekdays until line 13 of EW Bus GmbH.
