Hausen, Thuringia

Hausen is a municipality in the Thuringian district Eichsfeld. It belongs to the administrative community Eichsfelder boiler.

History

The village of Hausen 1206 as " Husen " first mentioned in documents from 1294 and belonged to Electoral Mainz, but the monastery was Reifenstein until the secularization allegiance to. Beginning of the 16th century was a deserted village Hausen, to the abbot Matthias Ruediger von Reifenstein had it rebuilt the monastery village around 1538.

Hausen 1802 came to Prussia, Kingdom of Westphalia 1807 and 1813, when the province of Saxony of the Kingdom of Prussia. 1945 to 1949 the site was then part of the Soviet zone of occupation and since 1949 part of the GDR. From 1961 to 1990 until the turn of the reunification of the city was affected by its proximity to the border. Since 1990 it has been part of the newly founded federal state Thuringia.

Hausen has a breakpoint at the Halle- Kassel railway.

Culture and sights

On the Thomas Berg 1968 Hundesportverein was founded and is still engaged in the training of incidental, tracks and guard dogs. The association also belong to sports enthusiasts from the surrounding communities.
