Hohes Kreuz
High Cross is a municipality in the administrative community Leinetal in the Thuringian district of calibration field. It was formed in 1991 from a merger of municipalities Bisch Hagen, Mengelrode, Siemerode and dispute wood. The municipal area extends from the border of Thuringia and Lower Saxony in the north to the A38 motorway in the south.

History
1055 Selma Roth is first mentioned in a deed of gift of the Archbishop of Mainz. Streitholz appears in a charter of 1286 as Strietholz. 1310 also Mengelrode and 1445 Bisch Hagen is then mentioned.
Siemerode, Mengelrode, Bisch Hagen and Streitholz were until the secularization part of the Electorate of Mainz. From 1802 to 1945 the towns were then part of the Prussian Province of Saxony.
As of 1945, the sites were part of the Soviet zone of occupation and since 1949 part of the GDR. From 1961 until the turn and reunion 1989/1990 were the places near the German border.
In July 1986, the community celebrated the anniversary Siemerode the 750 - year anniversary with a week. Since 1990, they became part of the newly established state of Thuringia. Siemerode, Mengelrode, Bisch Hagen and Streitholz joined on 1 January 1991 a unified community based in Siemerode together.
