Eunice Groark

Eunice S. Groark ( born 1 February 1938) is an American politician. Between 1991 and 1995 she was Deputy Governor of the State of Connecticut.

Career

Eunice Groark graduated from Bryn Mawr College. She then studied at the University of Connecticut law. Later she also worked as a lawyer. Politically, she joined initially to the Republican Party. Between 1981 and 1985, she sat on the city council of Hartford. She was also a member of many regional commissions. Politically, she joined in 1990 by former U.S. Senator Lowell P. Weicker and future governor founded A Connecticut Party.

This year Groark was elected to the side of Weicker to the Deputy Governor of the State of Connecticut. This office she held between 1991 and 1995. Yet she was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In 1994, she ran unsuccessfully for the governorship. After the end of her time as Deputy Governor, she works in the private sector. Among other things, she has worked for the company Virtus Variable Insurance Trust.
