Kotzenbüll

Kotzenbüll is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Kotzenbüll is located northwest of Tonning directly on the main road 202 from Kiel to Sankt Peter- Ording.

History

The place name probably means the settlement Kotzos.

The Nicolai church was built around 1500, probably on the site of an older chapel.

Policy

Municipal council

In the local elections on May 26, 2013, the voters Community DKG won all nine seats. The turnout was 71.9 percent.

Mayor

For the election period 2013-2018 Andreas Jacobs (DGK ) is elected mayor. He is the successor of Hans Boy Wolff, who did not run.

Economy

The municipal area is predominantly agricultural.
