Nußbach, Rhineland-Palatinate

Nußbach is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Wolfenstein.

Geography

The town lies on the same Nußbach in the North Palatine Uplands. In the north- west is Reipoltskirchen, in the east Teschenmoschel, in the southeast and southwest Rathskirchen is Hefersweiler.

History

Nußbach was first documented in 1309. It belonged to the Rhinegraves until it got to 1553, which belongs to the Upper Rhine district rich empire direct control Reipoltskirchen as part of a land swap.

The local council in Nußbach consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Coat of arms

The blazon of the arms is: " From red and green by a silver slant left wave beams split up a golden bell tower, down a golden hazelnut twig with two hazelnuts and a leaf. " It was approved in 1985 by the District Government Neustadt.

Culture and sights

In Nußbach is the Old World Museum, where among other things, a loom from the 18th century can be seen.
