Poseritz

Poseritz is a town and a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Rügen on the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. The community is managed by the Office Bergen auf Rügen, located in the eponymous city.

Geography and transport

Poseritz is located in the south of the island of Rügen Muttlandes directly at Stralsund. Through the town Poseritz for the provincial road 29 of Garz / Rügen to Strelasundquerung.

History

The municipality was part of the Principality of Rügen to 1326 and then the Duchy of Pomerania. With the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 Rügen was and therefore the area is a part of Swedish Pomerania. In 1815, it came as part of Neuvorpommern the Prussian province of Pomerania.

Since 1818, the village belonged to the circle or district Rügen. Only from 1952 to 1955 he was county Putbus. The village belonged until 1990 to Rügen county in the district of Rostock and in the same year part of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. The 1990 re- designated as the Rügen was 2011 in the district of Vorpommern - Rügen.

Built and listed in the second half of the 19th century Good Neparmitz belonged to the expropriation in 1945 Wahnschaffe family. Through disuse after 1990 and vandalism the facility expires.

Poseritz was a long-time asset of Lords of Zuhm and the lords of ancestors.

1582 was Erich von Kahlden, the landlords of large Schoritz build the Renaissance mansion in Renz. It is therefore one of the oldest farmhouses of Ruegen. The two-storey house has a stair tower and has the character of a solid house. Good Renz was 371 ha in 1945 to the family of the Lancken, which was then expropriated. In the manor house refugees in the eastern territories were housed.
