Splietsdorf

Splietsdorf is a municipality in the district west of Pomerania Vorpommern - Rügen. The village belonged to January 1, 2004 at the then defunct Office Trebeltal and has since been managed by the Office Franzburg- Richtenberg with headquarters in the city Franzburg.

Geography and transport

Splietsdorf situated about ten kilometers north-west of Pomerania. South of the village runs the federal highway 20, which can be reached via the Pomerania - West Connection (approx. 13 km). The south of the municipality is drained by the river Cernosin.

History

With the Peace of Westphalia of 1648 came Vorpommern and thus also the place Splietsdorf under Swedish rule after the place previously belonged to the Duchy of Pomerania. In 1815 the church and Pomerania came to the Prussian province of Pomerania.

Splietsdorf was until 1952 part of the district of Pomerania and was thereafter until 1994 Circle of Pomerania in the district of Rostock. Since 1990, belongs to the spot to Mecklenburg- Vorpommern.
