Parchtitz

Parchtitz is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Rügen on the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. It is administered by the Office Bergen auf Rügen, located in the eponymous city.

Geography and transport

Parchtitz is located about three kilometers north- west of Bergen auf Rügen. It is located on the Duwenbeek, the only major streams on Rügen. It rises in the located in the municipality Nonnensee, which was newly formed in 1993 after a prolonged drying period again. The municipality is located right on the main road 30 from Bergen to Gingst. The Federal Highway 96 and the railroad Stralsund - Sassnitz spread east of the community.

History

The Good Boldevitz was since the 13th century belonged to the family of Rotermund. Under Claus von Rotermund originated around 1600, the core of the Manor House, District of Philipp Rotermund left it in 1635 or 1655/58 rebuild. When in 1712 the family with Caspar Detlef von Rotermund extinct in the male line, the estate passed to his son, the Swedish General Carl Gustav Graf Mellin. 1744 came the estate to the family of Putbus.

1762 was acquired by the Government Adolf Friedrich von Olthof the estate. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, who published a biography of Hackert in 1811, the estate mentioned under the name " Bolwitz ". During this period was also the cultivation of the two longhouses and the creation of the park. After the 1777 bankruptcy proceedings against by Olthof was opened in 1780 it came to the sale of goods to the family of the Lancken.

This had it since the 18th century under the name Lancken- Wackenitz, from 1938 as Lancken- Wackenitz - Albedyll until the expropriation of the family 1945. Agriculture was continued as a state owned asset.

The Good Boldevitz is also used for tourism today.

The place was until 1326 part of the Principality of Rügen and then the Duchy of Pomerania. With the Peace of Westphalia of 1648 Rügen was and thus the area of Parchtitz a part of Swedish Pomerania. In 1815 Parchtitz came as part of Neuvorpommern the Prussian province of Pomerania.

Since 1818 Parchtitz belonged to the circle or district Rügen. In the years 1952-1955 he was county mountains. The village belonged until 1990 to Rügen county in the district of Rostock and in the same year part of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. In 1990, named the Rügen was 2011 in the district of Vorpommern - Rügen.
