Millienhagen-Oebelitz

Millienhagen - Oebelitz is a municipality southwest of Stralsund in the district of Vorpommern - Rügen. The community is managed by the Office Franzburg- Richtenberg with headquarters in the city Franzburg.

Geography and transport

Millienhagen - Oebelitz is located about 15 km north- west of Pomerania and about 15 km northeast of Tribsees. South of the village runs the A 20 This is accessed via the port of Pomerania -east (about 18 km).

History

The current community Millienhagen - Oebelitz emerged on 13 June 1999 by the merger of the two communities Oebelitz and Milienhagen. Both districts were first documented in the mid-13th century.

After the Thirty Years War to the year 1815, the area belonged to Swedish Pomerania and then to the Prussian province of Pomerania.

The congregation was then until 1952 part of the district Pommern -Barth and belonged then to 1994 to the circle Stralsund in the district of Rostock. Since 1990, include Millienhagen and Oebelitz to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
