Lindholz

Lindholz is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Rügen. The community is located about forty kilometers east of Rostock in the Official Recknitz - Trebeltal. The community was formed by the merger of the municipalities Breesen, Böhlendorf and Langsdorf on 13 June 2004.

Geography and transport

Lindholz is located about seven kilometers southwest of Tribsees and south of Bad aspic. The passing through the municipality A20 can be reached via the interchanges Bad brawn and Tribsees (both about six kilometers away). The municipality is situated between the lowlands of Cernosin and Recknitz, which roughly also form the western and eastern borders. In the municipality there are several small forest areas, such as the Eichholz at Böhlendorf. To the east, in the valley of Cernosin, lies the nature reserve Sülzer saline marsh.

History

Breesen was 1232 and Böhlendorf 1298 first mentioned. In 1820 was sent to the place Carl Breesen valley, connected with its glassworks, 1950 follows the place Tangrim. Only since 1976, the city is connected to the central water supply. Böhlendorf was 500 years until 1945 family owned by the family of Kardorf. Langsdorf was called passport before 1816. The Grand Duke Friedrich Franz I of Mecklenburg named in 1816 in honor of the city court counselor and teacher Karl Christian von Langsdorf " Langsdorf ". Peat were obtained in the area, here today gravel is encouraged.

By the year 1925 Lindholz belonged to the Official Rostock in Mecklenburg -Schwerin, then its name in 1939 in the district of Rostock was changed to the circle of Rostock. Following local government reform from 1952 to 1994 it belonged to the circle Ribnitz Damgarten in the district of Rostock.

  • Manor House in Böhlendorf
  • The since 2007 under a preservation troposphere radio station of the strategic Tropophären messaging system of the Warsaw Pact in 302 underground bunker oak valley from the year 1986 can be visited. For reasons of secrecy of the facility was assigned the designation support message center 302 ( StNZ ). As such, it was integrated in the messaging system of the NVA. In its capacity as a support message center they also secured the provision of news channels for the main headquarters of the People's Navy of the GDR in Ticino.
  • In Tangrim the remains of a late medieval motte, a border fortress on the border between Mecklenburg and Pomerania exist.
