Soyuz TM-10

Soyuz TM -10 mission is the designation for the flight of a Soviet Soyuz spacecraft to the Soviet space station Mir. It was the tenth visit to a Soyuz spacecraft with the Mir space station and the 86th flight in the Soviet Sojusprogramm.

Mission overview

The seventh resident crew of space station Mir continued the scientific work of their predecessors. These included earth science, the production of proteins, biological and medical research as well as maintenance and repair work. This included an attempt at an exit on 29 October ( 3:45 ) to close the jammed hatch on Kvant Research Module 2, which was only partially successful. Among the novelties of the flight included the arrival of a larger transport spaceship Progress M- 5, which has a return capsule with a payload capacity of 150 kilograms. Supply and research material met previously with the transport spaceship Progress M -4 a.
