Stefan Gaisreiter
Stefan Gaisreiter ( born December 10, 1947 in Murnau ) is a retired German bobsledder. In 1972, he won an Olympic bronze medal in the four-man event.
Stefan Gaisreiter launched for the SV Ohlstadt and began as a brakeman with Wolfgang Zimmerer. In 1968 he won his first German championship with Wolfgang Zimmerer, Peter Utzschneider and Walter Steinbauer. At the Olympic Games in Grenoble 1968 Bob finished ninth. 1969 won the Bob in the same occupation at the World Championships in Lake Placid for the title. In 1970, the four Ohlstädter European champions at the World Cup 1970 Gaisreiter fell out due to injury and was replaced by Pepi Bader, Bob won the silver medal. 1971 won the Bob Silver at the European Championships and bronze at the World Championships. After the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Sapporo 1972 1973 Bronze followed at the World Championships and gold at the European Championships, which sat at the European Championship for Manfred Fritz Ohlwärter Steinbauer in Bob.
In 1974, Stefan Gaisreiter the brakeman on the position of the bobsleigh pilot. With the brakeman Manfred Schumann, he immediately won the German championship in the two-. In 1976, he won with a brakeman Donat Ertel again at the German Championship, the European Championship occupied the two second behind the Swiss Erich and Peter Schärer. In the four-man Gaisreiter, Hans Wagner, Donatella Ertel and Walter Gillik won the title. 1977 won Gaisreiter Stefan and Manfred Schumann in the German Championship and occupied during the World Cup third place. After the German title in the four-man 1978 Gaisreiter 1979 won both league titles. At the World Cup in 1979 Gaisreiter and Schumann won the silver medal, with the fourth passage Fritz Ohlwärter had to step in for the injured Schumann. His last international medal winning Gaisreiter 1979 in the four-man, together with Dieter Gebhard, Hans Wagner and Heinz Busche he won at the World Championships in Koenigssee. 1980 won Gaisreiter and Gebhard again the championship title in the two- but Gaisreiter could not qualify as in 1976 as a pilot for the Olympic Games.
