Tetenbüll

Tetenbüll (Danish: Tetenbøl ) is a municipality in the district office eiderstedt North Frisia in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Tetenbüll is located about 8 km northwest of Tonning and 12 km north-east of St. Peter -Ording on the peninsula Eiderstedt. South extend the federal highway 5 and the railway line from Tonning to St. Peter- Ording. Kaltenhörn, Warmhörn and Wasserkoog lie in the municipality. Northeast of Tetenbüll the Adenbüller is enclosed land. The municipality also includes parts of the Norderheverkooges.

Church

A first chapel was built around 1113; the present church of St. Anne was built in 1400 by the damming of the Tetenbüller Kirchenkooges. The wood beamed ceiling adorns a certificate from the 18th century painting, which shows the way of Christ. At the north gallery of 1612 thirty scenes from the Old Testament are shown in pictures.

Policy

Municipal council

  • Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the CDU had since the municipal election 2008, four seats, the voter community KWT had three and the Green Party came to two seats.
  • In the local elections on May 26, 2013, the CDU received 43.6 % of the votes cast and received four seats. The Greens came to 29.2 % and three seats. On the Municipal Wählergemeinschaft Tetenbüll ( KWT ) accounted for 27.3 % and two seats. The turnout was 63.27 percent.

Mayor

For the election period 2013-2018 Thomas Lorenzen (CDU ) was elected as the new mayor. He succeeded Henning Möller ( CDU) of the Office held 23 years.

Economy

The municipal area is predominantly agricultural structures, but there are also some commercial companies and a harbor. Tourism is also an important source of income for the community.

Sports
