Geography and transport
The place is located in the east of eiderstedt Peninsula, between Husum and Tonning. East of the railway line run Husum - Bad St. Peter -Ording, and route 5 south-east of it lies the joke common district Reimer shack right on the Eider.

Economy
In the village there is the Easter Husum dairy, which is the largest fresh milk -producing operation Schleswig -Holstein. The dairy was founded in 1894 and was destroyed on 7 September 2007 by fire. In May 2008, she was re-opened and is now claims to be one of the most modern dairies in Europe.
