1943–44 AHL season
The season 1943/44, was the eighth regular season of the American Hockey League ( AHL ). During the regular season, six teams in the league should each 54 games contest, but was on the last two games of the Providence Reds and Pittsburgh Hornets among themselves waived, as this anyway no longer able to reach the playoffs at this point. The four best teams in the AHL then played in a play-off round to the Calder Cup.
