1975–76 AHL season

The 1975/76 season was the 40th regular season of the American Hockey League ( AHL ). During the regular season, eight teams played each 76 games. The top six teams in the AHL then played in a play-off round to the Calder Cup.

Calder Cup Playoffs

For the play-offs, the three best teams in the North Division and the South Division qualified. In the first two play-off rounds, the winner of each division were played, which first played the second against the third and then the winner of this duel in round two against the winners of the regular season. In round three, the two division winners to the finals. The first play-off round was played in best- of-five mode, the second play-off round and the finals were played in best- of-seven mode.
