Richmond Robins

The Richmond Robins were an American ice hockey franchise in the American Hockey League from Richmond, Virginia.

History

The As de Québec in 1971 to Richmond, Virginia, resettled, where she worked as farm team of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League played under the name Richmond Robins in the American Hockey League. After they still missed the playoffs in their first AHL season, that they separated in the following years three times already in the first playoff round. Best result of the season for the Robins was reaching the second playoff round, where they lost to the Hershey Bears with 1:4 victories against which they already were eliminated in the preseason in the first round. Following the 1975/76 season, the Philadelphia Flyers decided to dissolve their farm team.
