Iowa Wild

The Iowa wild is an American ice hockey franchise from Des Moines, Iowa. It plays since the 2013/14 season in the American Hockey League.

The Wild play their home games at Wells Fargo Arena ( 15,181 seats) and - in addition to the Utica Comets - the youngest of the 30 AHL teams.

History

On April 18, 2013, the Minnesota Wild announced that Minnesota Sports & Entertainment no agreement with the owners of the Toyota Center - was able to achieve with respect to a further assignment - the home of the Houston Aeros. The organization decided on the farm team to Des Moines, Iowa to relocate where the team will henceforth compete in the Wells Fargo Arena under the name Iowa game.

The Wild are the second team from Des Moines, who play in the American Hockey League. Previously, between 2005 and 2009, the Iowa Stars, the aufliefen in their last season under the name Iowa Chops, active in 's top-class minor league ice hockey.
