Boundary County, Idaho

Boundary County is a county located in the state of Idaho in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Bonners Ferry.

Geography

The County is located in the extreme northwest of Idaho. It is bordered on the west by Washington, on the north by Canada, to the east by Montana; within Idaho is bordered to the south by the Bonner County. The Boundary County has an area of ​​3311 square kilometers, of which 24 square kilometers are water surface.

History

Boundary County was formed on January 23, 1915 from parts of Bonner County and Kootenai County. As a border county, it was named because it lies on the border with Canada, Washington and Montana.

Demographic data
