Clark County (Idaho)

Clark County is a county located in the state of Idaho in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Dubois.

Geography

The County is located in Eastern Idaho, Montana, and bordered to the north has an area of ​​4572 square kilometers, of which two square miles are water. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Lemhi County, Butte County, Jefferson County and Fremont County.

History

Clark County was formed on February 1, 1919 from parts of Fremont County. It was named after Sam K. Clark, an early settler in the area.

According to the census of 2000, there were 1,022 people in Clark County in 340 households and 257 families. The population density was 1 person per square kilometer.
