Boise County, Idaho

Boise County is a county located in the state of Idaho in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Idaho City.

Geography

The County is located in west-central Idaho, about 50 kilometers, from Oregon and has an area of ​​4938 square kilometers, of which eleven square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Valley County, Custer County, Elmore County, Ada County and Gem County.

History

Boise County was formed on February 4, 1864 as the original County. It was named after the Boise River.
