Cassia County, Idaho

Cassia County is a county located in the state of Idaho in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Burley.

Geography

The County is located in southern Idaho, adjacent to both Utah and Nevada to and has an area of ​​6683 square kilometers, of which 36 square kilometers are water surface. The deepest point in the County is the Milner Lake, a reservoir on the Snake River in 1204 m and the highest peak on cache with 3110 m above sea level. History

Cassia County was formed on February 20, 1879 from parts of Oneida County. It was named after the Cassia Creek, a small river nearby.
