Dätgen is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Dätgen is centrally located between Kiel and Neumünster at the motorway junction Bordesholm the Federal Highway 7 and the Federal highway 215 The nearest larger towns Bordesholm and Nortorf located some 8 km away. The place itself is accessible via the highway L 49.

History

The place was first mentioned in the 15th century, when it was sold to the Augustinian monastery in Bordesholm.
