Overall World Cup winner

Nations Cup

The nations score results from the sum of all World Cup points of all athletes of a nation. In addition, the points for relay competitions and team sprints are added. For the team sprint World Cup points according to FIS points system be calculated. In Relay competitions twice the number of World Cup points will be awarded.

The Sprint Cup has been held since the 1996/97 season. For Sprint World Cup include all Sprint Cup events with a length shorter than 1.4 kilometers.

Distance World Cup

The distance World Cup was also introduced with the 1996/97 season. Between 1996 and 1999 the distance World Cup was held under the name of the long distance World Cup and included all World Cup races that were not discharged as a sprint race. In the season 1999/2000 World Cup in the distance the long distance World Cup and the World Cup middle distance was divided. A year later the World Cup were reinstated for distance races and discharged again until the 2003/04 season. Since then, the distance World Cup includes all the races with more than 5 kilometers in length.

The long distance World Cup was held once in the season 1999/2000. All races from 15 kilometers in the women and from 30 kilometers in the men were counted as long distances.

The middle distance World Cup was held once in the season 1999/2000. In the women all the races from 5 kilometers to 10 kilometers, were among the middle distances. The men's race of 10 kilometers, counted to 15 kilometers.
