Lütjenholm

Lütjenholm (Danish: Lilholm, Frisian: Läitjholem ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

The municipality is located in the northwest of the Office Mid North Friesland and is adjacent to the office Südtondern. Lütjenholm is located about 7 km northeast of Bredstedt. To the west of the municipality runs the highway 5, the Green Coast road.

The nature is dominated by forest and marsh. In the municipality there is a heath area that is under protection.

Policy

Municipal council

Of the nine seats in the municipal council voters Community AWLW had since the municipal election 2008, five seats and the voter community AALW four. In the local elections on May 26, 2013, the turnout was 64.4 percent. The AWLW received 58.3 percent, the AALW came to 41.7 percent. The distribution of seats remained unchanged.

Mayor

For the election period 2013-2018 Diedrich Sönksen ( AWLW ) was re-elected mayor.
