René Hannemann

René Hannemann ( born October 9, 1968 in Belzig, the district of Potsdam ) is a retired German bobsledder. He won two Olympic medals and was twice world champion.

René Hannemann began in the four-man by Volker Dietrich, with whom he won second place in Sarajevo at the European Championships in 1988, the other two were Axel Kühn and Torsten grains in Bob. When Bob World Cup in 1991 in Altenberg Hannemann sat in the two- by Wolfgang Hoppe, the two won the bronze medal behind Rudi Lochner and Gustav Weders Bob. For the Olympic Games in 1992, Hoppe could only qualify in the four-man event. In Albertville Wolfgang Hoppe drove the Bob Bogdan Musiol, Axel Kühn and René Hannemann to second place behind the Austrian Ingo Appelt. 1993 won Hoppe, Musiol, Kühn and Hannemann the title at the German Championship for the WSV Oberhof 05 When Bob World Cup in 1993 in Igls won in the two- Christoph Langen before Gustav Weder, Hoppe and Hannemann again received the bronze medal. At the Olympic Games in 1994 in Lillehammer Hoppe joined again only in the four-man event. With the occupation of Ulf Hielscher, René Hannemann and Carsten Embach he received the bronze medal behind Harald Czudaj and Gustav Weder. 1995 was a very successful year for Hoppe, Hielscher, Hannemann and Embach; the four-man event at Altenberg was European champion and world champion in Winterberg. The following year, the Bob finished behind Christoph Langen second place at the European Championships, the World Cup in 1996 and missing Hielscher Hannemann. For the Bob World Cup in 1997 in St. Moritz Hannemann returned once in Hoppes Bob. In the occupation of Wolfgang Hoppe, Sven stirring, René Hannemann and Carsten Embach they won again the World Champion title.
