Zierow
Zierow is a municipality in the northern part of the North West in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Klützer angle with headquarters in the city Klutz.
Geography
The municipality Zierows adjacent to the Hanseatic city of Wismar and lies at the Wismar Bay, opposite the islands of Poel and whale. The municipality has an approximately two-kilometer long Baltic coastal section at the Eggers Wiek.
To Zierow include the districts Eggerstorf, Fliemstorf, Landstorf and wiping.
Economy and infrastructure
In the community, tourism plays a significant role. There is a big camping holiday park and some houses and holiday homes.
The manor house at Zierow now houses a vocational school.

Coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved on 5 January 1998 by the Home Office and registered under No. 146 of the coat of arms role of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Blazon: "In blue over silver Wellenschildfuß, in five (3:2) green linden leaves, a golden horse jumping; top left accompanied by a six-petalled flower with silver sechzehnblättrigem inner ring. "
The coat of arms was designed by the Weimar Michael Zapfe.
Flag
The flag is horizontally striped of blue - gold ( yellow) and blue. The blue stripes take one fifth each, the golden (yellow ) strip takes a three-fifths the length of the bunting. On the golden ( yellow ) strip is in the middle, three-fifths of the height of the flag cloth engaging, the municipal coat of arms. The length of the bunting is related to height as 5:3.
Transport links
The connection point Wismar -Mitte ( Federal Highway 20) is about 10 km from Zierow removed, the neighboring village of Gägelow is located on the B 105 and B 106 in the adjacent Wismar is the nearest railway station.
