Abercrombie-River-Nationalpark

The Abercrombie River National Park is a national park in the eastern part of the Australian state of New South Wales, 138 kilometers west of Sydney and 40 km north-east of Crookwell.

The park is a sanctuary for clear, yet completely original forest in the region of the Blue Mountains. The casuarina trees - also called Australian pines - are the lagoons of the three main rivers in the park.

Are opportunities to camp, to fish, to hike, to swim and canoe for visitors.

The Abercrombie River, the Retiro River and the Silent Creek are important habitats for the platypus and the gold belly swimming rat. In the eucalyptus forests are found mountain kangaroos, wallabies Rothals, Sumpfwallabys and eastern gray kangaroos.
