Bouddi-Nationalpark

The Bouddi National Park is a national park in the eastern part of the Australian state of New South Wales, 44 km north-east of Sydney. It is situated near the Broken Bay, the mouth of the Hawkesbury River. A part of this national park also includes the adjacent coastal waters, so a contiguous habitat on land, on the coast and in the sea is protected. The park also includes Fletcher's Glen, one of the last temperate rain forests in the central part of the coast of New South Wales.

Originally called the Park '' Bouddi Natural Park ''. He was named to the second meeting of the Park Association on July 5, 1936. Other names in conversation were Maitland Bay Park, Cape Three Points and reserve Gerrinbombi Park. The reason for the choice of the name was the fact that Bouddi was documented as Aboriginesname for this area as it was in 1828 appeared in maps. The name in German means "heart." The Park Association was founded in the year before to manage the park and had members from the NSW Federation of Bushwalking Clubs and the Erina Shire Council.

1967, the then 530 -acre park was rededicated after have just become effective legislation in a national park and renamed Bouddi State Park. The administration was handed over to the NSW National Park and Wildlife Service, and shortly thereafter the Park Association was transformed into an advisory committee. On 1 January 1974 was attributable to the National Park and Wildlife Act the category State Park and the park was renamed in Bouddi National Park.
