Tallaganda-Nationalpark

The Tallaganda National Park is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales, approximately 45 km south-east of Canberra.

The National Park on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range is composed of two unconnected parts. The smaller, northern part in Hoskinstown is closer to Canberra. The larger southern part at Jingera lies between the Yanununbeyan National Park in the northwest and the Gourock National Park in the south, to which it connects directly. In both parts there is eucalyptus mountain forest, in particular the species stringybark, scribbly gum, Brown Barrel and Peppermint, in the higher elevations and snow gums. In these forests there are many endangered species such as the quoll, the Yellow-bellied gliders and Riesenkauz ( Ninox strenua ).

In the park there are no tourist facilities, and paths is only accessible by four-wheel drive vehicles. The park is viewed as being popular for hiking and bird watching area.
