Butterleaf-Nationalpark

The Butterleaf National Park is a national park in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales, 491 km north of Sydney and 37 km north-east of Glen Innes.

The park is located on the crest of the Great Dividing Range. There are eucalyptus primary forests (Ribbon Gum and Messmate ), marshes and moors. These landscapes offer many rare animals, habitats, such as for the Yellow-bellied and the Great Gleitbeutler, the Powerful Owl ( owl ), the Wombat and the spotted quoll. Just north of the park stems from the Deepwater River. East of Butterleaf National Park is the Washpool National Park.
