Maria-Nationalpark

The Maria National Park is a national park in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales, 341 km north-east of Sydney and 5 km south-east of Kempsey.

The park is located west of the Pacific Highway between the Kumbatine National Park in the west and the Hat Head National Park in the east. The National Park was formerly known as Mary State Forest and, with its eucalyptus forests an important transition for wildlife between the above two national parks dar. was found eleven endangered plant species and nine endangered species in the park. The Mary River is forbidden to drive with no motorized boats. You may also explore the park on horseback. A public access road for cars there is not.
