Goobang-Nationalpark

The Goobang National Park is a national park in the center of the Australian state of New South Wales, 296 km north- west of Sydney. It protects the largest remaining forest in the center of the state where the domestic and the coastal flora of New South Wales into one another.

The area was named in 1817 by John Oxley Hervey Range and 1897 it was declared a national forest because of its importance as a source of timber. Then in 1995 came the re-designated as a national park.

The main roads in the park, all unpaved, are usually to drive on normal road vehicles. After prolonged rainfall but they can be very slippery.
