Fortis-Creek-Nationalpark

The Fortis Creek National Park is a national park in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales, 520 kilometers north of Sydney and 30 km north of Grafton.

In the park there is a forest with slow-growing trees, which houses many endangered animal and plant species. Visitors appreciate the old trees, the paths to swim through the forest and the ways and watch the birds. In the park there are no special facilities for visitors. The park is divided into two unconnected areas, respectively north and south of Fortis Creek, a tributary of the Clarence River. In the northeast includes the Banyabba Nature Reserve, a state reserve, to the National Park.

The wood is made of eucalyptus species, including but the group of species known as Bloodwood and Spotted Gum and the Eucalyptus punctata Grey Gum also known as other trees. The animal world with the koalas, long wing Bats ( Miniopterus schreibersii ) and reddish bats ( Pipistrellus subflavus ).
