Mount-Imlay-Nationalpark

The Mount Imlay National Park is a national park in the far southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales, 387 kilometers south of Sydney. He was named after the brothers Imlay, early pioneers in the area, named. The entrance is from the east via a spur road from the Princes Highway south of Eden.

The park is mainly covered with eucalyptus forest. The main types are the Imlay Mallee and the Imlay Boronia ( Boronia imlayensis ). They grow in the regions near the summit of Mount Imlay. There are also two acres of cool temperate rainforest that has survived in a forest fire protected, narrow valley. It consists mainly of Black- Olive -berry - trees ( Elaeocarpus holopetalus ).
