2011 Welsh Open (snooker)

The Welsh Open 2011 was a snooker tournament of Snooker Main Tour, which was held in Newport from 14 to 20 February 2011.

John Higgins defended his title with a 9-6 over Stephen Maguire in a purely Scottish finals.

In the second round Stephen Hendry, the 77th official maximum break succeeded in beating Stephen Maguire. For Hendry itself, it was the tenth maximum break of his career, which he shared at this time with Ronnie O'Sullivan number 1 in the list of players with the most maximum breaks.
