Harold F. Youngblood

Harold Francis Youngblood ( born August 7, 1907 in Detroit, Michigan, † 10 May 1983 in Tucson, Arizona ) was an American politician. Between 1947 and 1949 he represented the state of Michigan in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Harold Youngblood attended the public schools of his home and thereafter until 1927, the St. Joseph's Commercial College. In the years 1927 and 1928 he worked for the Secretary of State of Michigan, John S. Haggerty, in a field office in Detroit. From 1928 to 1935 he belonged to the Control Committee ( Board of Auditors) of Wayne County. Later he worked in the heating and plumbing industry.

Politically, Youngblood member of the Republican Party. In 1934 he ran unsuccessfully for Congress yet. In the congressional elections of 1946, he was then but in the 14th electoral district of Michigan in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeded the Democrats Louis C. Rabaut on 3 January 1947. Since two years later he again ran against Rabaut and this subject, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until January 3, 1949. This was determined from the immediate aftermath of the Second World War.

In the years 1954 and 1955 he worked on the staff responsible for foreign affairs in Berlin American diplomats (Director of Foreign opera Arion Administration). He then worked in Tucson in the construction industry. Harold Youngblood died on 10 May 1983 in Tucson, and was also buried there.
