Isuzu TF (1998-2001)

The Isuzu TF is a series of pickups which was manufactured from 1988 to 2002 GM and offered worldwide. It was based on the Isuzu FasterTF. In North America he was offered as an Isuzu pickup until 1996 and replaced by the Isuzu Hombre.

Isuzu TF under different names in different markets

The Isuzu TF was sold in many countries under different names. Among others were:

  • Opel Campo in Western and Central Europe / Vauxhall Brava in the UK

In 1997, the car received a significant facelift for model year 1998. The front looked a little rounded and resembled that of the Amigo between 1995 and 1997 was sold in the U.S. as Isuzu Rodeo wagon. On request, there were airbags for driver and front passenger.

The new TF had a new trim level, LT Sport, available only in four-wheel model and the double cab. The 2.6 liter engine was replaced by a 3.2 -liter V6 with 190 bhp (140 kW), which was used at a higher power level, the Trooper and the Amigo. This new engine was available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel models. Both versions had the same chassis and the same ground clearance. This version was known as "higher down rear-wheel drive variant" and later there was also such versions of the Mitsubishi L200, the Ford Courier and Mazda Bravo from. For model year 2002, the TF received a new turbo diesel engine with 3.0 liter displacement and an output of 130 bhp (96 kW), which was equipped with direct injection and intercooler. This machine was previously offered in the Trooper. Also on styling, there were minor changes, such as a modified grille and clear indicator covers.

End of 2002 the production of the TF was set and the D-Max replaced the model world.
