Jörg Puttlitz

Jörg Puttlitz ( born August 25, 1962 in Hagen ) is a German rower. Puttlitz part of the Ruhr- four, one of the world's best in the 1980s boats in the boat class coxless four.

Sports development

As a rower from the rowing club Hansa 1898 (Dortmund ), he started in 1976 with the rowing and rowed in the youth field with his team mate Norbert Kesslau in a boat. 1983 moved Puttlitz and Kesslau to the Witten brothers Guido and Volker Grabow in the trained by Günter Petermann four.

Success (selection)

The new composite Ruhr- four won the title at the German Championships and won at the World Rowing Championships in Duisburg. The four rowers defended the German championship in the years 1984 to 1986. During the Olympic Games in 1984 the foursome finished with one and a half seconds behind the bronze medalist Danish fourth place. 1985 repeated the four rowers the World Cup win of 1983. These four rowers were at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul for Germany eight, with whom she won gold.
