Kalenborn, Cochem-Zell

Kalenborn, official spelling until December 6, 1935: Calenborn, is a municipality in the district Cochem-Zell, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Emperor Esch.

History

For the first time the city was mentioned in 1326. As a result, sat in Kalenborn its own jurisdiction by, which also included the town Eppenberg. Beginning in 1794, Kalenborn under French rule, 1815, the place on the Congress of Vienna was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. Since 1946 he is part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.
