Rüting

Rüting is a municipality in the district of North West in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). The municipality is the Office Grevesmühlen country located in the town of Greve mills, which forms an administrative community with the Office, managed.

Geography

The community Rüting lies in the valley of the river Stepenitz 9 km south of Greve mills and about 20 km northwest of Schwerin.

To Rüting include the districts Diedrich Hagen, Schildberg and Vierhusen.

The surroundings of Rüting is dominated by agriculture and several wind turbines. The district Diedrichshagen whose village church is a listed building could get its original atmosphere as a peasant village. Also listed building is the water mill in Rüting that was not until the mid-20th century in operation.

The main road from Greve mills in the state capital Schwerin through the community Rüting. 4 km north runs the A20 (junction Greve mills). In the near Greve mills is connected by train to Lübeck and Wismar.
