Schwedeneck

Schwedeneck (Danish: Svenskerhjørnet ) is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein. It is located on the peninsula Danish Wahld and includes the villages of Birkenmoor, Danish - Nienhof, Elise village, Grönwohld, Haschendorf, Hohenhain, Jellenbek, Krusendorf, Kuhholzberg ( partial), Blow, Stohl and Surendorf.

Geography and transport

Schwedenecks boundaries run 6 km north of the state capital Kiel and about 15 km east of the former county town Eckenförde on the Eckernförder bay of the Baltic Sea. Through the municipal area the federal highway 503, the so-called Spa Route, along the coastline from Kiel to Eckernförde runs.

Local public transport is by bus to Kiel, Gettorf and Eckernförde, due to the predominant use of students focused on school start and end times.

History
