Sönnebüll

Sönnebüll (Danish Sønnesbøl, friesian Säänebel ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Sönnebüll is located about halfway between Husum and Niebüll in the Schleswig 's Geest. West extend the federal highway 5 and the railway line from Husum to Niebüll.

In the municipality the Broad-leaved herb occurs, which is red-flagged in Schleswig -Holstein.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1462.

The Bredstedter clay, a marine Glimmertonsediment that has been mined in Sönnebüll for the brick is formed more than five million years.
