Tellig

Tellig is a municipality in the district Cochem-Zell, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Zell an (Mosel).

Geography

Tellig located in the northern Hunsrück on the edge of Altlayer river valley about 5 km from the River Moselle, near the B 421

History

A documentary mention experiencing the place as Tellich in 1275th Since the year 1794, Tellig under French rule and was from 1798 to 1814 in the canton of cell in the Rhine -Moselle department. 1815 it to the Congress of Vienna was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. In the pit at Theodor Tellig lead and Zinkerzvorkommen were mined in the early 20th century. The settlement Althaus at Tellig was built by the RAD ( Reich Labor Service ) in 1937. Since 1946 is Tellig part of the state of Rhineland -Palatinate then newly founded.

Parish council

The local council in Tellig consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Traffic

Tellig lies south of the national road 421, about the reach the approximately ten kilometers distant town of Zell (Mosel ), and the 15 kilometers away Bullay (DB) on the Mosel route Trier -Koblenz.
