1926 World Table Tennis Championships

The first table tennis world championship was held to 12 December 1926 in London (United Kingdom ) on 6. Venues were mainly the Memorial Hall ( Farringdon Street ), but also an Indian student residence ( Gower Street), the Unity House ( Euston Road) and Herga LTC ( Harrow).

General

This tournament was originally planned as a European Championship. However, the ITTF on December 7, 1926 allowed eight players from India to participate. This causes the event to the World Cup has been upgraded.
