1933 World Table Tennis Championships (December)

The 8th World Table Tennis Championship took place from 2 to 10 December 1933, Paris ( France) in hall Marboeuf near the Avenue des Champs- Élysées. She was considered for the 1933/34 season.

For political reasons, the German men's team did not participate in this World Cup. It was feared that might embarrass "superior Nordic race " against "inferior peoples ". Also criticized is that the best German table tennis players - the Greek Nikita Madjaroglou - was not born in Germany. The influence of National Socialism can not be overlooked here.

For the German women fully convinced. For the first time the World Cup was held for women's teams. In this case, Germany was immediately after the first victories over Czechoslovakia, France, Hungary, Holland and England.
