Harald Czudaj

Harald Czudaj ( born February 14, 1963 in Wermsdorf ) is a former bobsledder who competed for East Germany and reunified Germany. At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, he won the gold medal in four-man bobsleigh. In May 2001 Czudaj entered the athletic retirement.

Czudaj launched initially for the SG Dynamo Cínovec. He won four medals at the Bob World Cup of the Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing - two silver medals in the two-man and four-man, both in 1990 in St. Moritz for the GDR and two bronze medals in 1991 in Winterberg, 1995 in Altenberg man and four for Germany. Harald Czudaj was twice European champions in four-man bobsleigh. He won the 1992 and 1998 in Koenigssee in Igls the gold medal for Germany. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, he was coach of the Dutch Bobfahrerinnen.

Today Czudaj operates two major gyms in Riesa and Coswig. As a member of the Supervisory Board of the winter sports Altenberg GmbH and as Vice President of BRC Riesa it is connected to the Bobs still drives and even seniors race. At the 2008 World Championships in Altenberg Czudaj participated as Spurbobfahrer.
