Paschel

Paschel is a municipality in the Trier -Saar castle in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Kell am See.

Location

Paschel located south of Trier about nine kilometers northeast of Saar castle and also nine kilometers west of the municipality seat Kell am See. The B 268 (Trier -Saarbrücken ) runs about two kilometers west of the town. Belonging to Paschel are also the villages of Steinbachweier and Benrather yard. The federal highway runs right through Steinbachweier in its vicinity, are found several ponds and pools that are used for fishing.

History

The Benrather court in Paschel is a former Hofgut the Abbey of Saint Matthias in Trier. The farm is built in a valley and surrounded on its east and south sides by ponds. He was probably even before 1306, but was destroyed disputes at the time of the Archbishop of Trier Megingaud. Reported are also several changes of ownership in the years 1532, 1658 and 1802 for the place Paschel.
